Jock's role in surveilling Maggie is evidenced by a set of binoculars in Jock's apartment, as well as a sniper rifle hidden on a ledge.You may not have asked for hard choices, but you're getting them.Otherwise, the bomb will remain undiscovered and result in Jock's death at Area 51. Jock will still find the bomb through this route. Alternatively, JC can report the mechanic to Everett, and not attack the mechanic in any way. If JC kills or knocks out the mechanic, Jock will ask JC about his actions and will search his helicopter after being told to by JC, finding and disarming the bomb. Jock's fate depends on whether the odd mechanic in Morgan Everett's Home was taken care of. As the game progresses, Jock becomes JC's primary method of transportation. If JC buys beer for Jock, Jock will tell his stories about being a pilot and his work involving Area 51. This is the only time that Jock appears in person outside of his helicopter. If JC and Jock fail to discover the bomb, Jock's helicopter will explode shortly after dropping JC off at Area 51. While at Morgan Everett's Home in Paris, an undercover MJ12 operative disguised as a mechanic installs a bomb on Jock's helicopter. From this point forward, Jock acts as JC's pilot, flying him to Hong Kong, back to New York again, to Paris, and eventually to Area 51. Later, when JC Denton escapes from UNATCO's headquarters, Daedalus tips off Jock to pick up JC at the helipad outside the headquarters. Paul convinces JC to defect from UNATCO, but JC is unable to rendezvous with Jock and is captured by UNATCO. However, Jock instead takes JC to see Paul, thus revealing himself as part of the resistance against UNATCO and Majestic 12. After Paul defects from UNATCO, Joseph Manderley assigns Jock to fly JC to Hong Kong for his next mission with UNATCO. In New York, Jock assists JC with his UNATCO missions at the Warehouse District and LaGuardia Airport. Daedalus assisted Jock by securing the necessary authorizations to fly a black helicopter out of the MJ12 Helibase in Kong Kong.

Prior to meeting JC Denton, Jock was urged by Daedalus to return to New York to help Paul and JC. He was also informed by Paul that he should be ready to assassinate Maggie if Tong gives the orders. In Hong Kong, Jock was employed by Tracer Tong to conduct surveillance on Maggie Chow. Jock has an apartment in Hong Kong, located across the street from Maggie Chow's apartment.

Jock later left the US Air Force and became a UNATCO pilot, entrusted to fly one of the so-called "black helicopters," low-noise, low-visibility stealth helicopters deployed to assist UNATCO with their covert operations. It was being visited by big executives, rocks were being extracted, and optical communications cables were being installed. Although he did not have access to the main complex, he was intrigued by the activity at the base. Jock was a pilot for the United States Air Force who worked at Area 51.
